December 2009 - Barnsley Hospice

Blake Independent Financial Planning Ltd renewed its long standing relationship with Barnsley Hospice in December 09 with a new affinity arrangement that will benefit both the Hospice and its many visitors.

Having had a working relationship for many years assisting with fundraising projects such as golf days and auctions in previous years, both parties identified a need for patients and their families to have access to specialist financial advice regarding individual and family affairs. Topics clients have expressed an interest in previously have included: inheritance tax planning, capital gains, trusts and probate matters, all of which require professional advice, planning and management.

Blake Independent Financial Planning Ltd has committed to provide additional funding for the charity which will be made on behalf of those patients and their families using the service.

Martin Blake said 'We appreciate that capturing funding in a difficult economic climate is no easy matter and this new affinity link will provide an additional funding stream for the Hospice's exceptional services, whilst also providing specialist advice at a time when it is most needed.'

Janet O'Hara from Fundraising at the Hospice was eager to add 'We are delighted that Blakes has chosen to help us in this way. This organisation is a longstanding supporter of the Hospice and the funds raised through this new initiative will help us to continue to provide comfort, care and dignity for the people of Barnsley'.
