Background
I was a Director of several consumer businesses and am currently a member of the PwC Turnaround Panel where I have been able to use my experience to help improve the financial performance of SMEs.
I joined Blake Independent Financial Planning in 2006.
Qualifications
B.Sc. Ph.D. C.Eng. Dip(PFS)
Area of expertise
I combine my extensive business experience with an empathetic approach to individual financial planning, enabling clients to identify their personal and family goals, establishing plans to help achieve these and providing a monitoring system to keep the goals and plans under review.
Directors and owners of SMEs will benefit from my combination of experience in business and financial planning, enabling them to maximise their individual and family wealth.
Particular areas of expertise are retirement planning and pensions, investments and IHT planning.
Pension Planning
A rolling programme of employee auto-enrolment into a Qualifying Workplace Pension Scheme will commence in October 2012. All businesses, even if they employ only one employee, will need to plan now as the cost of employing staff and administration may rise. Let me help you manage this complex and potentially expensive legal obligation.
About me
I am married to Christine and have 3 grown up children, although like many clients I dont think they can be described as financially independent.
I follow rugby and cricket and indeed most sports.
I enjoy politics and particularly how they affect the world economy.
